Radon Mitigation is the process of reducing radon gas concentrations in an occupied building. Mitigation of radon in the air is accomplished through ventilation. This is most commonly achieved by a depressurization fan installed below a concrete floor slab or membrane on the ground.
Who should get a radon test?
There is no way of knowing the radon levels in your home or place of business without testing. If you are concerned about the radon levels in your home or other building, we can test for you and determine the radon levels. The EPA recommends remediation if the levels average over 4.0 PCI/L during a 48 hour testing period. Radon is the second leading cause of Lung cancer behind smoking and if you smoke, the presence of radon can double your chances of getting lung cancer.
Is it Expensive To mitigate?
Our prices start at $900.00 for a standard Radon mitigation install (most homes will fall in this category). The system we install will be backed by a full 2 year warranty and will include clearance testing to show that the system has been installed correctly. We take $100.00 off the installation price if you hire us to do the initial Radon testing.
